A New Tuesday Tradition: Mams’ Night at The Crown and Crossed Swords

Motherhood is a rewarding journey, but we also understand the vital importance of having a dedicated space to step away from the daily routine. We are pleased to announce a new monthly gathering at The Crown and Crossed Swords, specifically for the local mams and mams-to-be of Shotley Bridge.

Launching on Tuesday 31st March from 7.30pm, we are opening our doors for an evening focused entirely on relaxation and genuine connection.

What to Expect

The evening is designed to be informal and welcoming—a true "breather" from the everyday. Whether you are navigating the early days of pregnancy or the busy years of motherhood, this is an opportunity to:

  • Meet Your Neighbours: Connect with other local mams in a friendly, relaxed setting.

  • Share a Laugh: Enjoy a good chat and the chance to share experiences with those who understand the journey.

  • A Gentle Atmosphere: No pressure and no judgement; just good company and a glass of something refreshing in our cosy pub environment.

Join Us from 31st March

We know that walking into a room can sometimes feel daunting, but please rest assured that whether you arrive on your own or with a friend, you will find a warm welcome waiting for you. This is about building a supportive community right here in the village, one conversation at a time.

There is no need for formal booking—simply pop in, say hello, and be part of something new. We look forward to seeing you there and making this a regular highlight in the Shotley Bridge calendar.
